CSz Boston, the founder of The Rozzie Square Theater, is looking to welcome both new and experienced improvisers to our Professional team for 2022 and beyond.

As a cast member of CSz Boston, teammates will:
Be trained in how to perform our flagship improv comedy show, ComedySportz ™️
Have access to regular performance opportunities and coaching to help grow as a performer and teammate
Receive consistent ongoing training and development in various forms of improv, including but not limited to ComedySportz™️
Have access to paid professional opportunities such as corporate entertainment, team building training, and improv coaching

Be an official CSz Player and part of CSz Worldwide, a global network of improvisers (37 years in the business, and in 30 cities across the U.S. and Europe)
Date: Saturday, March 26 & Sunday, March 27 (2 days to pick from)
Time: 10a - 2p (11:30a - 12:30 lunch break)
Requirements: 18 + ; access to transportation to attend regular practices and shows in the Roslindale neighborhood; a positive attitude toward learning and being part of a team
What to expect during the audition: Our audition is run workshop-style to encourage a supportive and relaxed environment; the audition splits focus between 1) Scene Work, and 2) Improvised Games.
What to expect after the audition: Immediately following your Tryout, you’ll receive an email to either invite you to our Call Backs process or notify you it’s not a fit at this time.
How Call Backs work: Our Call Backs process involves attending our All Company Pro Practice on any of the following dates: April 5, 12, 19, or 26th (7p - 9p); Minimum of 1 required, more than 1 is welcome. Call Backs are a two-way process, in which we’ll all have a chance to work together. If selected, you'll enter an accelerated training program to immerse you in the ComedySportz™️ format and develop skills as needed before performing regularly with the Professional team. Trainings will happen on select Saturdays and Sundays in May.
Childcare: While the audition is for 18+, children accompanying their parent/guardian to the audition is absolutely ok - the auditions are on the weekend so it’s understandable that lack of childcare options would prevent parents from auditioning, and so, children are welcome if they’re also down to hang with us while we do improv. We have comfy couches and snacks, markers and paper, and an iPad for movies. ComedySportz has been around for 37+ years and there is no shortage of parents and guardians in our casts.
