Courtney Pong

Owner & General Manager

Courtney Pong (she/her) has been teaching improv as an applied skill and performing improv comedy professionally for over 26 years. From the Bay Area to the Bay State, she has been trusted to design and lead team building workshops and communication trainings across a wide variety of industries and brands in both the public and private sector, from Ocean Spray, The Boston Red Sox, TJX Companies, and Deloitte, to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, GE Aviation, City of Boston, and the Attorney General’s Office.

She’s the recipient of a 2026 mayoral proclamation from Mayor Michelle Wu for her decade of work as a civic and cultural leader. She holds recognition as a Boston Business Journal 40 under 40 Honoree, and has been featured in Boston Magazine and Inc. Magazine as an AAPI thought-leader in live entertainment and entrepreneurship.

Courtney hails from San Francisco, with 15 years of experience in Public Relations and Marketing.

She is a keynote speaker in the New England area.

Today, Courtney is the Owner and General Manager of CSz Boston, as well as the owner of The Rozzie Square Theater, the only woman-owned and AAPI-owned comedy venue in Boston.

Awards, Leadership & Press

  • On April 30, 2026, Courtney was honored with a 2026 mayoral proclamation, acknowledging her work and leadership as a small business owner, arts innovator, and champion for women and BIPOC entrepreneurs, enriching the cultural and civic life of Boston and her service to the neighborhood of Roslindale.

  • Courtney is currently serving her third 3-year term on the Board of Directors for Roslindale Village Mainstreet, and held the role of Board President from 2024 - 2026

  • Courtney is the co-founder of the Roslindale Women’s Business Group, a business group founded by and geared towards women-identifying brick-and-mortar business owners. The RWBG aims to share resources, build connections, support growth and development, and strategize together for a more cohesive and thriving business district

  • She has been recognized as a Boston Business Journal 40 under 40 Honoree, an annual award that highlights the city’s best and brightest young professionals.

  • She regularly spends her time volunteering with local and national organizations and initiatives that focus on empowering BIPOC/WOC/Women leadership and entrepreneurship, such as Boston Girls' Leadership Organized Women (GLOW) and ASPIRE: Asian Sisters Participating in Reaching Excellence (ASPIRE).
